IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR TRAVELLERS TO BHUTAN

ITINERARY CHANGES IN BHUTAN.

Bhutan has a limited tourism infra-structure, which is constantly evolving, and there are occasionally challenges in providing accommodation to all visitors offered visas at any one time.

The current national system used for all tourist visitors is based on allocating hotel rooms approximately 10 days prior to their arrival in the Kingdom. During the peak months of March-May and September-November demand can sometimes necessitate a late minor change of your pre-arranged itinerary and/or a change of a scheduled hotel in order to accommodate you satisfactorily.

Our experience in the past suggests this has rarely caused any major inconvenience and certainly has not in any way undermined the rich and rewarding experience offered by this wonderful destination. However we kindly request you factor this possibility into your planning when considering a visit to Bhutan.

FESTIVALS IN BHUTAN

Please note that some festival dates are subject to change due to illness or death of prominent person in the village where the festival is taking place.

BHUTANESE HOTELS.

Your hotel will be usually a 2-3 star standard. Rooms have twin beds, (can be quite hard) and with the exception of some smaller guesthouses in some remote valleys all have private bathroom facilities . Occasionally, more commonly in the capital Thimphu, your hotel can be up to a 3- 4 star standard.

Please note: Luxury hotel options are available in some valleys at additional costs. (unavailable on small group tour departures)
